You've come so far and might feel ready to start requesting some available work! π€©
As a quick recap, this check-list highlights the specific tips we've covered that can help ensure success before you start submitting your requests:
Why? Having a profile with a clear, professional looking photo of you increases the likelihood that your requests get accepted by nearly 40%!
Why? A profile that has all the sections completed (especially the About, Work Summary, and Verified Screenings) makes it easier for buyers to find you and see your experience, and makes matching you with relevant work more seamless.
Why? Your available work filters and your profile go hand in hand. Make sure your filters include all the relevant criteria you're looking for, including the types of work you know how to do, which get sourced in from the Work Summary section of your profile.
Why? Reading the work order (service description, task list, schedule, location, etc.) before submitting a request or a counter offer helps you understand the buyer's requirements and expectations, which reduces the likelihood of unwanted backouts, pay disputes or negative buyer feedback.
Once you have read through the work order and determine you're interested in being assigned, click "Request" or "Counter Offer" and follow the prompts to submit:
To request to the work order as-is with no potential modifications, select "Request," review the pertinent information on the screen, and submit.
To build and submit a Counter Offer, you can request to:
- Change Pay
- Change Schedule
- Add Additional Charges (like travel or materials)
- Set an Expiration with your request
- All of the above!
Setting an Expiration for any request/counter offer will dictates how long your request remains active. Once a request expires, the buyer can no longer accept your request. Setting an expiration helps providers avoid having requests pending for weeks, which can sometimes lead to last minute assignment that they are potentially no longer available to complete.
Once the parameters of your request or counter offer are set, Send Request to make it official:
Keep an eye out for possible schedule conflicts, which get flagged in the app during a request like this:
Remember: submitting a request or counter offer for a work order is more than a show of interest; it's your commitment to the buyer's scope and all of it's written requirements. It is the buyer's expectation that providers have already read and know the full scope before submitting the request.
Once you submit a request for a work order, it will move to your "Pending" list. If it gets assigned to someone else, it will disappear. If it gets assigned to you, it will move to your "Assigned" list.
