Q:Â How long have you been working in the IT field service industry?
A: I’ve been working in the IT field for over 25 years. Worked for IBM, Lexmark, Xerox and many others learning my trade. I began independent contracting in 2008 through online marketplaces like Field Nation, building the foundation for my own business.
Q: What types of work do you do on Field Nation, and what kinds of projects do you enjoy the most?
A: Because I am well versed in troubleshooting a wide variety of technologies (Hardware and Software), I am able to pick up a lot of different types of work on Field Nation. Thermal printer repair, UPS swaps, Kiosk install/repair, Server repair, and POS install/repair are just a few. The projects I enjoy the most are the ones that pay all of my bills 😃
Q: What's one piece of advice you'd give to other providers on how to be successful?
A:Â Being honest, having character and integrity will help you move up the ladder very quickly. Always be on time and do not under bid yourself. Lastly, communication is key.
