Did you know the most common buyer reported issue is providers "bringing or sending an unauthorized person to site"? Buyers report this because an unknown or unauthorized provider on-site can lead to client escalations, compliance and liability risks, or work performed by unqualified individuals.
Unauthorized person on site often occurs due to a Service Company admin operating their business within the Field Nation marketplace incorrectly, usually without realizing it.
As a rule, only the assigned provider should arrive on site. Only when expressed authorization is given by the buyer ahead of time can a helper or other provider be on site.
Here are a few best practices and linked resources to help Service Companies avoid this kind of issue:
🪪 Add profiles for all of the managed providers working for your Service Company: Buyers want to know the name, qualifications and experience of the person being assigned to their work, so they can inform the end client of who will be arriving. Every provider that may be completing work on Field Nation as part of your company should have their own profile so they can be assigned to the work. Admins should be requesting/assigning work only for the managed provider that will be going to site.
🔄 If the assigned provider can no longer arrive, or the Service Company admin wants to assign someone else, they should request a "swap" in the work order: Service Company admins have the ability to request a swap, which is a request to switch out the assigned provider for a different provider within the same service company. The swap request gets sent through the work order, and the buyer can either approve or deny it. If approved, the new provider is assigned and is thereby authorized to arrive on site.
